Why people stay

The hearth

One oak fire does everything — sourdough, whole fish, dry-aged beef, even dessert. No gas line in the building.

The market menu

The menu is rewritten every Tuesday around what Ontario farms actually have. Fourteen dishes, never more.

The cellar

Sixty-plus natural and low-intervention wines, most under $70, all chosen to drink with smoke.

Sunday brunch

Hearth-baked shakshuka, smoked bacon, sourdough pancakes. 10 to 2:30, no reservations needed.
